Correcting Oral Habits

Sucking thumbs or using pacifiers is normal for infants, but if it continues past the first few years, it can cause severe malocclusion (improper bite). Habit-breaking appliances help children stop these habits effectively.

How it works

We typically use a fixed appliance made of thin metal wire. It is bonded to the back molars and goes behind the teeth. It blocks the tongue or finger from contact, removing the "enjoyment" of the habit. It acts as an unconscious reminder.

What to expect?

The appliance is painless. Your child may have slight speech changes or tongue soreness for a few days, but they will adjust quickly.
